Links shortened by Twitter will begin with “http://t.co” followed by a unique string of numbers and letters, just as if you were familiar and bit.ly. To ensure that these links are clean, and those sites are checked simultaneously. We’ll see then who will be the evolution of others sites that offer short URL.

Authorities evacuated hundreds of people on Friday fearing more land could collapse into a fast-flowing river of sewage below. The missing people had lived in a house that fell into the hole. Aqueduct found in Jerusalem-600 years old

May 11th, 2010 admin No comments

Archeologists said Tuesday they have uncovered a 14th-century aqueduct that supplied water to Jerusalem for almost 600 years along a route dating back to the time of Jesus — but unlike most such finds, this time the experts knew exactly where to look. Photographs from the late 19th century showed the aqueduct in use by the city’s Ottoman rulers, nearly 600 years after its construction in 1320. The photo shows an inscription dating back to the aqueduct’s early days. It was uncovered during repairs to the city’s modern-day water system. Public works projects here proceed in cooperation with antiquities officials in a city where turning over a shovel of dirt anywhere can turn back the pages of time, said Yehiel Zelinger, the archeologist in charge of the excavation.
